Victoria Weston will Turn America’s Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull Into Engaging Mixtapes for iPad

(MediaQuire) Producer and Director, Victoria Weston says, “I want to give a fresh look to my Victoria Woodhull documentary and utilize the latest technology to develop an iPad App. This will inject new life into a very interesting historical figure.”

We’ll be curating this 90-minute documentary, “America’s Victoria” into engaging “mixtapes.” The 45-minute long playlists will include interviews with Gloria Steinem, historians and actress Kate Capshaw into bite-size interactive clips for users to explore Victoria Woodhull’s themes during her lifetime – she was the first woman to run for US President in 1872 – her poverty stricken childhood, politics, her publishing success, hard times, and her final days in England – to showcase this documentary into a digital, user friendly entertainment medium.

Victoria lynn Weston announced the addition of Lorraine LoBianco as associate producer.  Lorraine LoBianco brings a wealth of experience to the Woodhull project. Her track record as an author for Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and Turner Classic Movies, programming and production experience at Fox Movie Channel, ION Television, and evox Television, as well as the launch of her own line of iOS apps made her the right choice to serve as Associate Producer,” says Weston.

Lorraine LoBianco is the editor of the British Film Institute-nominated “Letter-Jean Renoir,” and has worked in television from traditional broadcast and cable to IPTV and OTT.

“It’s a privilege to be working with Weston Media Group to bring the oft-neglected story of a trail-blazing American woman to the digital age. Victoria Woodhull broke barriers for women in a time when women didn’t even have the right to vote, and yet unlike Susan B. Anthony, hers is not a household name. We hope to correct that.”

Our distribution focus will be on public and private schools including the consumer market.

Sponsorship Opportunities. We are looking to raise $7500 to cover the cost of this iOS development App. We estimate 90 days to complete and officially launch “America’s Victoria” via iTunes in Fall 2015. All sponsors will receive credit in the iPad App and via the website.

Sponsorships: Bronze: $250. Silver: $500. Gold: $1000.

“Knowing about Victoria Woodhull inspires women to be daring, outrageous and creative.” – Gloria Steinem
“If you spliced the genes of Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Heidi Fleiss and Margaret Thatcher, you might have someone like Victoria Woodhull.” – Steve Murray, Atlanta Journal & Constitution

Gloria Steinem in America's Victoria, Remembering Victoria WoodhullAmerica’s Victoria, Remembering Victoria Woodhull was featured on PBS nationally, on Canadian Television and widely distributed to universities, colleges and public schools. Victoria Woodhull burst onto the stage with America s most radical reformers, reoriented their movements, and was gone. People listened to her. A congressional committee reported on her interpretation of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth amendments. She was the first woman to run for president of the United States and the first presidential candidate to spend election day in jail. America’s Victoria is a biography of this enigmatic figure in American history, the daughter of a swindling father and a spiritualist mother, who remade herself several times to become a Wall Street broker, a radical reformer, and, with her third husband, a British lady of the manor. The story is told by a narrator, several commentators, and readings from Woodhull s speeches and contemporary documents. –The American Journal of History
