Victoria lynn Weston is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and director whose work explores truth, power, and the private cost of public rebellion. A PBS-featured documentary director and creator of multiple acclaimed narrative shorts, Weston is known for blending historical authenticity with psychological intimacy and poetic visual storytelling.
Her films, including Free Lover, Through the Glass, and The Note, examine themes of justice, destiny, and female autonomy, often through nonlinear structures and emotionally driven performances. With THE WOODHULL, a historical proof-of-concept short inspired by her forthcoming novella The Naked Truth, Weston brings her long-standing work on the life of Victoria Woodhull to its most concentrated cinematic form — reimagining a moment of constitutional failure through a modern lens of due process and moral authority.
Weston’s work has been featured on PBS and honored at multiple film festivals. She is currently developing a feature-length adaptation of THE WOODHULL while continuing to direct short-form prestige projects that bridge literature, history, and contemporary cinema.
